The live action ‘Snow White’ is out now on Digital
The live action Disney films have been hit or miss. Aladdin did a great job doing justice to this tale and also taking it in some thrilling new directions. Jungle Book was a blast and viewers of all ages loved watching this movie. When news of a live action Snow White first broke, many feared it might not be good. I was able to get a digital code for this film and here is what I thought of it.

You can read the plot for this movie here:
Experience the timeless adventure as Snow White (Rachel Zegler) journeys into magical woods to escape her stepmother, the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot), and meets the beloved Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc who join her quest to restore the kingdom and bring kindness to the land.

I can’t say I enjoyed this version much. Too many songs were added which only dragged this story on, and didn’t help it much. Rachel Zegler does a great job as the main character, but there are times when she breaks into song that don’t make much sense. Gal Gadot was miscast at the Evil Queen, and her song felt completely unnecessary to me. Overall there were tons of changes to modernize this story, many which ended up hurting it instead of helping it out. ‘Merry Tunes’ revealed the process of writing the songs for this film and how much the cast enjoyed singing them. ‘Fairy Tale Fashion’ showed the strenuous process of making all the costumes for this movie and how surprised some of the cast and crew were with how they turned out. There is also a fun Gag Reel and some deleted scenes.
