Don’t ever date a musician if you’re afraid that details of your relationship will come out in an album. That might be what David Harbour is thinking right now after the release of ex-wife Lily Allen‘s new music, West End Girl.

Her 14-song album, released on Friday, Oct. 24, is officially about the demise of the former couple’s four-year marriage. Allen isn’t being cagey about it either.

She explained to British Vogue, “I made this record in December 2024, and it was a way for me to process what was happening in my life.” The Stranger Things actor might not be prepared for what the 40-year-old singer had to say.

Allen goes track by track, detailing Harbour’s alleged affair, beginning with her decision to take a role in a London West End show while he stayed behind in New York City. Unfortunately, absence did not make the heart grow fonder. Allen sang of sleepless nights in the singles, “Ruminating” and “Sleepwalking,” while they are in two different cities.

“Been no romance since we wed / ‘Why aren’t we f—ing, baby?’ Yeah, that’s what you said / But you let me think it was me in my head / And nothing to do with them girls in your bed,” she sang in “Sleepwalking.”

There’s also a curious detail in the track, “Madeline,” where she discusses the couple’s open marriage, “an arrangement” that had very specific rules.

“Be discreet and don’t be blatant / There had to be payment / It had to be with strangers,” Allen sang. It sounded like those conditions were ultimately broken because she pulled no punches in other tracks, describing Harbour as a “sex addict,” who was leading a “double life” in the song, “P—sy Palace.”

Allen alluded to her own one-night stand and almost falling off the wagon as she continued through the album — it’s evident that the downfall of their marriage rocked her to her core.

“There are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage, but that’s not to say that it’s all gospel,” she explained to British Vogue. “It is inspired by what went on in the relationship.”

Allen and Harbour were first linked together in January 2019 when they attended the BAFTA Tea Party together. They later revealed they met on the celebrity dating app, Raya, and by September 2020, they were married in Las Vegas. Still, their wedded bliss didn’t last long, as unconfirmed rumors continued to surface about Harbour and another woman, a costume designer.

“David cheated on Lily,” an insider told the Daily Mail in March 2025. “They met on a movie they did together. They weren’t very secretive about their relationship. David flew her to Atlanta while he shot Stranger Things to keep him company.”

The couple officially split in February 2025, and Harbour skirted around the issue in an April 2025 British GQ interview.

“I’m protective of the people and the reality of my life,” he said. “There’s no use in that form of engaging [with tabloid news] because it’s all based on hysterical hyperbole.” He went on to say that addressing the situation would only turn into “a salacious s—tshow of humiliation.”

For now, Allen’s album is the final chapter in their relationship.
