Dentsply Sirona World 2025 returned to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, delivering a remarkable event filled with clinical education, networking, and entertainment for dental professionals. This year’s program highlighted the importance of Connected Dentistry while celebrating 40 years of CEREC—the chairside digital workflow that has transformed single-visit dentistry.
At the heart of this evolution is DS Core, a cloud-based platform designed to enhance efficiency and productivity across practices. Its capabilities continue to expand, most recently through a partnership with Pearl’s AI software, bringing advanced AI-assisted radiologic support into everyday workflows.
Entertainment and inspiration
The event featured a balance of entertainment and thought leadership:
- Dana Carvey, Emmy-winning comedian, kicked off Thursday night with his sharp wit and iconic impressions, energizing the crowd and fostering a sense of community.
- Ellen Latham, co-founder of OrangeTheory Fitness, inspired Friday morning’s keynote with lessons on branding, growth, leadership, and team culture, drawn from her journey scaling a global fitness brand.
- Sheryl Crow, Grammy-winning artist, closed Friday evening with a live concert that uplifted and united attendees.

Connected dentistry
DS Core continues to evolve as the digital backbone of dental practices, designed to improve efficiency, communication, and collaboration between practices and labs.
“It’s increasingly becoming the clinical heart of a practice that brings all the different procedures together,” says Max Milz, GVP Connected Technology Solutions. “It allows you to combine intraoral scans, CBCTs, treatment planning, designs, order from labs, share data with dentists, mill a crown, print a night guard. It’s really the thing that brings everything together.”
“At the end of the day…we provide medical services, and the doctor is the most important to the patient,” adds Arjan de Roy, Group Vice President for Essential Dental Solutions. “The tools we develop support them in a better way—taking stress out of the treatment process. That really excites me.”
By digitizing workflows, practitioners can address common challenges such as staff shortages and high overhead costs, while also improving clinical outcomes and driving practice growth.
Balancing legacy with innovation
DS World is a place to both honour milestones and reveal new innovations. One highlight was the North American launch of Reciproc™ Blue, a reciprocating endodontic treatment solution.
“It’s been available globally for some time, and that gives us the opportunity to build on our legacy,” says de Roy. “It’s the most researched file system in the world, demonstrating our commitment to quality, workflow, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.”
Meanwhile, CEREC celebrated its 40th anniversary with a host of new product and workflow launches, including:
- CEREC Encore Workflow – Enables the design of crowns, inlays, and onlays directly in DS Core, from any screen, with improved AI algorithms and no need for a design station.
- CEREC D Block (Zirconia) – A new material innovation that mimics natural tooth biology with enamel and dentin core structure, delivering lifelike restorations.

Continuous education
With innovation comes the need for ongoing training and support. Dentsply Sirona emphasized its commitment to providing solutions tailored to practitioners at every stage of their journey.
“If you do not do many endodontic cases, you’re an entrance level GP, we highly recommend reciprocating systems, and then it depends on what your tactility is. So, some doctors feel more comfortable doing small steps at one time. So, WaveOne® Gold is the perfect system for that,” says de Roy. “When you go in higher volume or you say, ‘Okay, I’m a very pragmatic doctor, and I want to do without a glide path,’ we strongly recommend Reciproc because it’s a one file system.”
Integrating new technologies into a common software framework ensures a smoother transition for practices adopting additional treatments.
“Adding new things as the practice expands into additional treatments, it becomes easier and easier because it reduces the cognitive load. If it all works the same way, you don’t always have to learn something new. That makes it easier,” says Milz.
Save the date: DS World will be back at the MGM Grand September 24-26, 2026.
