Springtime at Disneyland is here, and as a Disney adult who still enjoys getting some regular park time in, trust me when I said it’s honestly one of the best times of the year to make a visit (other than Halloween and the holidays, of course). Between the new Bluey show, fun after-hour events like the upcoming Disney Channel Nite, and the fan-favorite Food & Wine Festival, not to mention great weather, it’s hard not to have an amazing day.
If you’re planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort this spring, you’re probably wondering: what should I wear to Disneyland? Don’t worry, I get it. I’ve been going since I was a kid and I still ask myself that question 20 years later. Since I’m all for helping a fellow Disney Parks fan with anything shopping-related, I’ve got you covered with some cute and comfy spring-ready pieces you’ll want to wear during your next Disneyland adventure.
What’s the Weather Like in Anaheim, CA in Spring?
Before we dive into outfit ideas, let’s talk about the weather, which plays a big role in determining what to pack for your trip. Spring weather in Anaheim tends to be pretty nice, making it one of the best times of the year to visit the Disneyland Resort. From the end of March to mid-June, temperatures are usually in the 70s during the daytime, while nights typically cool down to the 50s. That means, you won’t have to worry about being a sweaty mess halfway through the day.
There are, of course, exceptions. This spring, in particular, has been hotter than usual with afternoon highs occasionally hitting the 80s (though sometimes it can feel like 90s under the sun). While rain isn’t super common, it does happen occasionally and can last a few hours or so. With that said, it’s important to be prepared. Layering is key — especially if you plan to be at the parks from rope drop to close.
What to Wear to Disneyland in Spring
Now that you have an idea of what the weather is like, it’s time to talk outfits. If you’ll be spending over 12 hours running around Disneyland (and Disney‘s California Adventure), you’ll want to wear clothing that will actually keep you comfortable for hours on end. Fortunately, you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. Whether you’re looking for cute outfit ideas for your next park trip or comfortable items to add to your wardrobe (including travel-friendly bottoms), here are some pieces to create the best Disneyland spring outfits. Check those out below.
Best Tops for Disneyland in Spring
One thing I highly recommend doing ahead of your Disneyland trip is to check out the “Parks” section at Disney Store online. While you can totally wait until you’re at the parks to grab your merch (which I totally get), you can actually purchase select items ahead of your trip so you’re all good to go. Disneyland’s zip hoodies are super popular and come in multiple colors which change each season. They’re so cozy and perfect for chilly spring mornings and evenings. I’m loving the butter yellow hoodie myself (super trendy right now!), though you can also grab this in cream.
Another style that I see everywhere at the parks is the Disney Princess baseball jersey. There are multiple options to choose from, including Rapunzel, Belle, Jasmine, and Tiana. The number on the back is the year their film was released, which is such a fun detail. I have the Belle jersey and I’m obsessed. The quality is top-tier and I love the oversized look and fit. It’s such a great top to wear with leggings or biker shorts.
If you’re looking for a stylish option that’s good for a SoCal spring day, I’d recommend a denim jacket. You can pair it with a skirt or even comfy athletic shorts to level-up the look. My pick is this Minnie Mouse denim jacket from the GAP x Disney collab that you can grab now for 60% off.
As you’re probably well aware, Hannah Montana just celebrated its 20th anniversary. So there’s no shortage of merch out there, bringing all the nostalgia. With Disneyland’s Disney Channel Nite happening this spring, this ultra-glam Hannah Montana tee from Zara is a must-get for the event and fans of Hannah/Miley.
Speaking of must-gets for Disney Channel Nite, here’s a hoodie that I will definitely have to grab for myself soon. This BoxLunch-exclusive was made for the Disney Channel-watching generation, particularly fans of Kim Possible. It’s important to note that it is a popular item and selling fast. You can also get the hoodie in both regular and plus sizes.
Stoney Clover Lane recently released a collection celebrating Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary, which is still running through August 6, 2026. This sweatshirt was part of the release, and is a great cozy option for chillier days. I personally love the vintage vibe of the design. If you’re a fan of SCL, it’s a great piece to add to your Disney Parks outfit rotation. Size up if you want a more oversized and relaxed fit.
If you want to look more dressed up for photos but still want to be totally comfortable, check out the super cute Mickey Mouse Icon Oranges Shirt. It recently dropped as part of the Mickey Mouse and Friends Fruit Stand Collection on Disney Store online. Best part? There’s a pair of matching Minnie ears that you can grab as well.
If you happen to say until the fireworks show, there’s a seriously amazing part that features Hercules’ “Go the Distance” mashed with other nostalgic songs that’ll have you feeling some way. Sadly, there isn’t a ton of Hercules merch in the park. But if you do want to rep one of the best Disney animated movies to come out of the ’90s, here’s a vintage-inspired graphic tee that you can get on Amazon for less than $20.
Speaking of vintage vibes, this BoxLunch-exclusive baseball jersey is the perfect blend of stylish and comfy. It’s great for layering over a tank top. Unlike the previous Princess baseball jersey from Disney Store, this one has a cropped fit for anyone who prefers that. Some of the princesses you can choose from include Cinderella, Ariel, and Belle.
As mentioned earlier, it doesn’t rain a ton. But it doesn’t hurt to be prepared. From what I’ve seen, most people wear ponchos and carry around umbrellas when it rains. But if you want to look cute, these monogram rain jackets from LuLuBleuBoutique on Etsy are worth checking out.
Best Bottoms for Disneyland in Spring
POPFLEX’s Pirouette Skort went viral a couple of years back when it was spotted being worn by Taylor Swift. To this day, it’s still a must-have for fans of the brand and has over 6,000 reviews and a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating. It comes in over 16 colors, features an anti-cameltoe inner short with pockets, and has a tiered mesh skirt that’ll have you twirling like a Disney princess.
Biker shorts are another popular option for bottoms at Disneyland as they prevent chafing, are flexible to move in, and just look great under an oversized sweatshirt or graphic tee. These shorts from Athleta are buttery-soft and feature just the right amount of stretch and compression to be comfortable. Shoppers also swear they’re not see-through, which is of course, a must.
Typically, I don’t love wearing jeans at Disneyland or any of the Disney parks unless I know I’m only going to be there for a few hours or so. But these aren’t your typical pair of jeans. In fact, they’re Rag & Bone’s famous sweatpant jeans, which look just like denim but are basically sweatpants. Think jeggings, but now in baggy jean form. I own a pair and they truly look like jeans, even up close. But I can confirm, they really feel and wear just like your favorite pair of sweatpants. I highly recommend for both travel and Disney park trips, especially if you want to go for a more stylish and dressed up look.
These joggers from The Gym People on Amazon are a solid, classic pair of joggers. The fabric is soft and stretchy, and make for a great alternative to leggings if you’re looking for something lightweight and easy to move in. These have over 27,000 reviews on Amazon, many of which are a full five-star rating. It also comes in over 15 colors, so you’re sure to find a pair that suits your needs.
Hitting some water rides like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? You may want a pair of bottoms that are water resistant enough so you’re not walking around with wet pants for half the day. These elevated athletic pants from FP Movement feature a stylish barrel silhouette, a flowy design and relaxed fit, and a water-resistant finish. It comes in seven colors (one of which is nearly sold out!), and shopper says they’re “the best thing ever.”
Of course, you can’t go wrong with a pair of leggings, especially one from Lululemon. The Lululemon Align No Line High-Rise Pant is made using a super soft and smooth material that feels so comfortable to wear. These leggings in particular were also made without the front seam for a totally smooth look. Numerous shoppers swear it’s the most comfortable version of Lululemon’s Align leggings. It comes in 18 colors.
Best Dresses for Disneyland in Spring
If you aren’t already shopping at Unique Vintage, allow me to introduce you. Unique Vintage has an entire section filled with chic retro-inspired Disney dresses for a totally stylish park look. I’m particularly loving this Disney Princess-themed design which features patchwork inspired by several fan-favorite princesses. Use the code SHEKNOWS for 20% off.
Speaking of princess-inspired designs, Her Universe released an entire collection of athletic dresses themed to several Disney Princesses. They quickly sold out when they first released last year. Fortunately, they came back this year with new designs for Snow White, Belle, and Tinkerbell, among others.
Quince’s European linen Fit & Flare Midi Dress was made for warmer days, and features a chic and flattering fit as well. Fellow shoppers love how you can wear this dressed up or down, just in case you want to feel more put together when you dine at one of the DLR restaurants. It comes in nine colors.
