Khloé Kardashian Admits to ‘Brainwashing’ Her Kids

Guilt trips, subliminal messages, white lies — all parents have done it. But Khloé Kardashian just took it one step further. She admitted to brainwashing her kids, and we can’t stop laughing.

Kardashian, who is mom to daughter True, 7, and Tatum, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson, revealed that she is trying to get her kids to live closer to her when they grow up. “What I think I’m doing now is I’m sort of brainwashing my kids to think this is normal to live next to your mom, so then, when I’m old enough, they’re just gonna think, this is what you’re supposed to do,” she said on the latest episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, per PEOPLE.

Her and her siblings all live near each other and their mom Kris Jenner, too, so it makes sense that her kids would think this is a normal thing to do. (To be fair, I live in the same neighborhood as my mom, so maybe I’m secretly brainwashing my kids too!)

When her kids do move out, Kardashian is worried she’s going to go a little mental. “I don’t know if I’m gonna like being an empty nester,” she admitted. “I’ll probably shave my head and go nuts or something. Or buy a ton of animals.” Ugh, we totally get it, girl!

The Good American co-founder recently opened up about how she’s prioritizing her kids in this phase of her life. “I still have young kids — not that I’m saying I’m gonna wait till they’re 20 [to date], but I think you’re gonna have to be really, really special for me to want to add another person in the mix that I would have to share my time with another person and my children,” she told Us Weekly about her decision to be celibate.

Later, she added, “And I think you’re going to have to be really special to either disrupt my current lifestyle, my schedule and how I prioritize my time, and just to even make me feel those butterflies. I think I’m pretty guarded right now, so it will have to be a special, persistent person.”

There’s no shame in that. Her kids are her world, and on the tiny chance that they won’t move into a house next door to her when they grow up, she wants to spend every second with them that she can.
