Kourtney Kardashian is not letting the internet weave tales about her 15-year-old son Mason. Last week, the masses got the idea that the teen had a secret child, and so the Lemme founder took to Instagram to set the record straight.
“I rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family but this is about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies are remotely true,” she wrote in an Instagram Story, per Today.
“Mason does not have a child,” she continued. “These accounts that pretend to be him [are] FAKE.”

And what is true, is that Kardashian rarely addresses rumors. In January, she kept her lips sealed when a viral diss track implied that her stepdaughter Alabama Barker was pregnant with an A-list rapper’s baby. But — be it the fact that Mason is her blood child, or the fact that this is about a teen pregnancy, or the fact that supposedly fake accounts were used to perpetuate the lie — Kardashian went into full Mama Bear Mode this time.
Kardashian — who also shares 12-year-old daughter Penelope and 10-year-old son Reign with Disick and 1-year-old son Rocky with husband Travis Barker — went on to ask that the media respect Mason and his privacy. She also pleaded with social media users to “stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies.”
After all, her teen is “a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him.”
“And to all the other people making videos about my kids (who, by the way, are minors), please stop and leave them alone,” the TV personality continued, per People.
This is far from the first time the Poosh founder has stood up for her eldest. In early 2022, she got heat for supposedly excluding him. Kardashian posted a collection of photos from a walk along the beach at sunset that included shots of Barker, Penelope, and Reign. As for Mason, he was MIA. And so the busybodies got involved.
“How come Mason is never with y’all it’s mostly P and Regan,” one follower commented. Kardashian quickly clapped back saying, “just bc he’s not in the photo doesn’t mean he’s not with us 🤦🏻♀️ (and it’s *Reign 😊).” And you just know she’d rather substitute that “bless your heart” smiley face with a different emoji that is more blatantly an “eff you.”
This [step]mom of seven might let most of the chatter roll off her back, but she — like any other protective parent — is not afraid to bare her teeth when necessary.
