Nowadays it seems like many K-pop artists have exclusive album releases everywhere, from big box retailers like Target and Walmart to region-specific stores. While you might expect BTS to follow the same approach for their latest comeback, that’s not the case — which makes these exclusives even more coveted. Per their retail exclusives page, it turns out Target and WeVerse are your best bets for scoring exclusive “Arirang” albums and merch.
Target, in particular, has their own BTS hub that features all the exclusive merch you’ll want to snag once they’re available to shop.
“We’re thrilled to bring ARMY fans exclusive versions of ‘ARIRANG’ and curated merch to help them celebrate together and participate in this moment in a meaningful way,” says Cassandra Jones, senior vice president of Fun101, Target said in a release. “This comeback is about so much more than the music. For ARMY, it’s about connection, expression, and community — and we’re proud Target can play a part in this.”
What Time Do BTS Exclusives Drop at Target?
One question that’s been coming up frequently is when the exclusive items will be released. After all, timing is everything when it comes to shopping, especially scoring coveted items online. In many cases, things will sell out within minutes, if not seconds.
Typically, Target does release albums at midnight, which should be the case with BTS’ albums on Friday, March 20. However, if you are looking to score the fourth gen light stick or any of the Target-exclusive apparel and accessories, those will release online on March 20 at 10 p.m. PT.
It is worth noting, that these exclusive items should be available to shop in store starting March 20. So, if you aren’t able to secure one at your local Target, you do have a chance to shop the exclusive merch later on that day.

BTS Official Light Stick Ver. 4
As you can see, the Army Bomb has gotten a major update. If you have yet to secure the latest version of BTS’ light stick, you can now find one at Target. It’s set to release online on March 20 at 10 p.m. PT. We recommend hopping on Target at least 30 minutes before then as this is an item many fans are looking to snag. Of course, you can also try grabbing yours at your local store.

Target has two exclusive versions of “Arirang”: the Rooted in Korea version and Rooted in Music. Both contain a Target-exclusive photo card set, as well as the other extras you’d typically find in a K-pop album.
